He was born in Saint-Petersburg in 1990. In 2008 graduated from Choir college named by Glinka and got the specialization “chorus conductor”. In 2013 finished studying in St. Petersburg Conservatory (Saint-Petersburg State Conservatory named after Rimsky-Korsakov), where he learnt the theory of music. Since 2013 he is a graduate student of Saint-Petersburg State Conservatory, he works on the dissertation about the creativity of G. Maler. In the field of his scientific interests – flow of consciousness, interdisciplinary approach, analysis of drama and interpretations.
During the stydy in Saint-Petersburg Conservatory he was the concertmaster in conductor’s classes of professor U. Simonov, V. Sinaisky, A. Titov, V. Altshuler.
Collaborates with The Russian Institute of Art History in preparation for the academic edition of the Second Symphony by A. Borodin.
Since 2016 – student of the Paris Higher Conservatory in the class of symphonic conducting (professor A. Altinoglu).
Took part in master-classes with the National orchestra of Lion (D. Zinman) and Philharmonic orchestra of France Radio (M. Frank).
The works of Sorokin were performed in the Concert hall of the Mariinsky theatre, State Singing Chapel, Union of Composers (Saint-Petersburg).
