Yuriy Zaryadnov – opera and pop singer (bass), winner of the Russian and international competitions. The winner of special award named after Boris Shtokolov. He collaborates with different opera theatres: Mariinsky theatre, La Fenice, Theatre of Rimsky Korsakov etc.
He actively gives concerts both in Russia and abroad, takes part in different musical projects as «Opera for everybody», «Spring of romances», «New opera world». His wife is a wonderful pianist, also the winner of international competitions – Julia Grehova. He is the father of three children.
Yuriy was born February 9 in 1989 in Saint-Petersburg in the family of musicians, who immediately noticed son’s talent and at the age of 4 gave the child to study in Kikin’s home in violin class. At the age of 6 Yuriy entered Choral school named after M. I. Glinka at the State academic Capella in Saint-Petersburg, and since he was 10 years old he began to go on tours in Europe with choir.
Yuriy Zaryadnov began his scenic route as a pianist, he firstly appeared on stage of the Big hall of the Petersburg Philharmony in 2004. His first appearance on stage as a soloist was during the performance of the band of soloists of the folk orchestra named by Andreev in the concert hall near Finland railway station. Since 2006 till today he takes an active part in orthodox services in different churches as a soloist of the church choir.
After he finished musical school, Yuriy entered the Conservatory at the conductorchoral faculty in 2007 and in 2009 transferred at the vocal faculty in the class of the people’s artist of Russia, soloist of Mariinsky theatre Vladimir Vaneev.
Since 2009 he was invited to take part in the Mariinsky theatre’s spectacles. His debut on the scene was the role of the cook in the play «The marriage of Figaro» (Mozart). Since 2010 Yuriy Zaryadnov began an active concert work on the stages of St. Petersburg, performing in the staff of different bands. In 2011 he became a soloist of the Theatre of opera and ballet of Rimsky Korsakov.
In 2012 Yuriy entered Academy of young opera singers of Mariinsky theatre. After finishing it he became an invited soloist of Mariinsky theatre. In 2012 Yuriy Zaryadnov took part in the performance of the opera «Weir» and in 2013 – in the futuristic opera «Victory over the sun» on the festival of arts «From advance-guard till our days», that was held in the State Hermitage Museum.
Also Yuriy is a soloist of Saint-Petersburg’s youth opera theatre since 2014. Since that time he collaborates with opera festival «Opera to everybody».
The most bright opera roles of Yuriy during all his career, as he considers, are: Gremin from the opera «Eugene Onegin», Sobakin from the opera «The Tsar's bride» and Salieri from the opera «Mozart and Salieri».
Yuriy Zaryadnov holds the title of the winner of different international competitions. In 2015 he got the title of the winner of special award named after Boris Shtokolov at the international vocal competition in Saint-Petersburg. In 2016 Yuriy became the winner of the first award at the competition «SALUT International Performing Arts Competition», that was held in Italy
In 2015 Yuriy performed at the gala concert «SPRING OF THE SONG – SPRING OF THE VICTORY», that was dedicated to the 70’s anniversary of the Great Victory, where he perfectly performed several popular songs, one of which is a famous song of war times «Treasured stone».
Today Yuriy Zaryadnov continues to take part in many plays of Mariinsky theatre and gives solo concerts both in Russia and abroad, investing in every song all his talent, skill, humanity and soul, - that will surely find the response in listeners’ hearts!
